«Viure ràpid» is the novel by Brigitte Giraud, published by Amsterdam in paperback (192 pages, in Catalan).
Brigitte Giraud reconstructs, twenty years later, the death of her partner, Claude, in a motorcycle accident on June 22, 1999, and the events that preceded it: buying a house, renovations, plans and everyday haste. The narrative advances like a countdown towards tragedy and asks whether it was chance, fate or a sum of coincidences.
Winner of the 2022 Prix Goncourt, translated into Catalan by Imma Falcó; its original title is 'Vivre vite'.
