In Cap Ferrat, in one of the last great villas of the twenties, Lady Cuckoo Peverill, bored with her marriage, tries to drown herself. The vagrant Marcus Pollock rescues her and moves into the villa; his girlfriend and a group of eccentric filmmakers appear to complete a story of mature and immature loves.
Original title: «Voices in the Garden». The work was originally published in 1983; this Spanish edition is from 1988.
Sir Dirk Bogarde was an English actor, novelist and screenwriter. Initially a matinée idol in films such as Doctor in the House (1954) for the Rank Organisation, he later acted in art house films, evolving from "heartthrob to icon of edginess".
