«Vous aurez de mes nouvelles» is a collection of short stories by Jean-Paul Dubois, published by R. Laffont in paperback (245 pages, in French).
Around thirty stories set almost all in the United States, with black humor and a casual tone. A psychoanalyst goes mad when his patient leaves him, a husband disguises himself to seduce his brother-in-law, a man meditates in the bath about the time left: human stories that invite you to take off your masks.
Originally published in 1991, it won the Grand Prix de l'humour noir Xavier Forneret. First edition printed in Paris.
For readers of French short fiction with a taste for black humor and everyday stories with unexpected twists.
Jean-Paul Dubois is a French journalist and author. He won the Prix Goncourt in 2019 for Tous les hommes n'habitent pas le monde de la même façon, a novel told from the perspective of a prisoner looking back on life. The jury compared Dubois to John Irving and William Boyd, who wrote books that were both popular and critical successes.
