«Wendy: biographie d'une sainte» is the novel by Vincent Ravalec, published by Flammarion in paperback (264 pages, in French).
Wendy, raised by her godmother Dolores, owner of a cabaret, orphaned of her mother and with her father in prison, enters the Les Tilleuls orphanage in 1968, where she befriends Gladys. There she suffers visions linked to her childhood reading, which some take for epilepsy or possession. As she grows up, she discovers powers such as reading others' minds and, with Gladys, embarks on a visionary flight.
Novel published in 1996, with a cover reproducing a praying Virgin surrounded by seashells.
