«Wenn das Leben ein Strand ist, sind Frauen das Mehr» is the romantic novel by Michel Birbaek, published by Lübbe in paperback (429 pages, in German).
A screenwriter with a broken heart loses himself in the big-city night, parties and dead-end relationships, while his ex thrives in magazines, billboards and screens. Exhausted, he goes to the coast, where a woman seems perfect. The question is whether she is the right one and whether he can fall in love again.
Readers with a command of German who enjoy romantic comedies: the publisher's promotion presented it as the male answer to Bridget Jones.
