«When the World Was New» is the children's book by L. J. Sattgast, published by Gold 'n' Honey Books in hardcover (67 pages, in English).
It tells the biblical story of the creation of the world in a simple tone intended for early readers: God creates light, the sky, the earth, the plants, the animals and, finally, human beings. The childlike and colorful illustrations recreate landscapes with animals and water, and the whole introduces the origins of the world according to biblical tradition.
The work, classified as a children's and religious book, is illustrated by Steve Björkman and was published in 1996.
Recommended for early readers and for families who want to bring children closer to biblical stories in an illustrated and simple way.
