«Who Runs Britain?» is an essay on economics and politics by Robert Peston, published by Hodder Paperbacks in paperback (368 pages, in English).
Robert Peston starts from the collapse of Northern Rock in 2007 to examine who holds power in Britain. The essay analyzes the role of bankers, politicians and businesspeople, the gap between the super-rich and the rest of society, and dismantles the idea that the financial creativity of the wealthy benefits everyone's economy.
The full subtitle is «... and who's to blame for the economic mess we're in». Published in 2008, the catalogue classifies it under business, economics and history.
A work suitable for readers interested in economics, journalism, British politics and financial crises.
