«Word Book» is an illustrated educational book by Lis Collins, published by Ladybird Books Ltd in hardcover (32 pages, in English).
The book presents basic English vocabulary by associating clear images with their names, so that children in early learning stages can recognize and read simple words. The brightly colored illustrations show everyday objects and animals such as a ball, a kitten, a rabbit, and a drum.
It belongs to the «My First Learning Books» series by Ladybird, originally published in 1991. In some catalogs it is cited as «My First Learning Book:Word Book».
Intended for children in their early learning stages and for families or educators looking to reinforce the initiation to reading in English.
