«Yo fui Johnny Thunders» is the crime novel by Carlos Zanón, published by RBA Libros in paperback (320 pages, in Spanish).
Francis, alias Mr. Frankie, returns to the neighborhood where he grew up to escape misery and addiction, but finds ruins full of ghosts: his father, his half-sister, his first love and old friends. His time in rock'n'roll only left him a brief and damaging fame, and his attempt to start over clashes with shortcuts and with the memory of who he was.
It belongs to the Serie Negra collection from RBA Libros and received the Premio Salamanca Negra 2014, the Novelpol 2015 and the Dashiell Hammett 2015.
For crime fiction readers who appreciate loser characters, urban atmosphere and a rock'n'roll backdrop, with Barcelona as the setting.
