«Zazpi bider zazpi» is the young-adult adventure novel by Felipe Juaristi Galdos, published by Erein Argitaletxea in paperback (160 pages, in Spanish).
Sebastián arrives from the city and the village boys impose seven trials on him before accepting him into their gang; the last consists of holding his ground in front of a train that passes at quarter past three. Whoever resists longest on the track becomes the group's leader. The story combines nerve with danger and the dynamics of the group, culminating in a series of challenges that surprise everyone with the newcomer's fortitude.
It is volume 9 of the Perzebal collection. Paperback format, 160 pages; the publisher's record lists Basque as the original language, while the internal record indicates Spanish.
Aimed at young readers, it can serve as school reading or for those seeking a short novel about initiation and friendship.
