«Zuhaitz baten historia» is the children's story by M. Angels Gardella with illustrations by Joan Antoni Poch, published by Elkar in paperback (24 pages, in Basque).
A tree becomes the center of the tale when all attempts by municipal workers to bring it down fail. The story invites readers to discover why that happens and what keeps it standing. The cover, with an animal sitting under a leafy tree, reinforces the story's warm tone.
Work number 8 in the Sirena collection, published in 2000 with a Basque translation by Joxan Ormazabal Berasategi.
Recommended for children and young people aged 12 and over, especially for Basque-language readers.
