Scott Cunningham was a prolific American author who wrote over 50 books on spirituality and natural magic.

His book Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner is considered one of the most influential and successful texts on Wicca ever published.

Before dedicating himself to esoteric literature, Cunningham explored his creativity by writing science fiction and adventure novels.

He was an active member of the neopagan community and received his third-degree initiation as part of the Serpent Stone Family coven.

Throughout his life, he maintained a close friendship with prominent occult figures such as Raymond Buckland.
