Friedrich Schiller was a multifaceted figure who excelled as a poet, playwright, philosopher, and historian.
Before dedicating himself to literature, Schiller worked as a military physician and writer-physician.
His close friendship with Goethe gave rise to the literary period known as Weimar Classicism.
Together with Goethe, he wrote the Xenien, a collection of satirical poems to defend their philosophical vision.
His work William Tell is one of his most iconic and globally recognized dramas.
