Haruichi Furudate was born in 1983 in Iwate Prefecture, Japan.
His academic background includes studies at the Sendai Design Training School in Miyagi Prefecture.
In 2008, his work King Kid received an honorable mention at the prestigious Jump Treasure award.
Before achieving global success, he debuted with the series Philosophy School, Yotsuya Sensei's Ghost Stories in 2010.
His masterpiece, Haikyu!!, began as two one-shots before evolving into a highly influential full series.
