«El Inocente» is a drama movie by Luchino Visconti (1976), starring Giancarlo Giannini, Laura Antonelli and Jennifer O'Neill, on DVD.
«El Inocente» adapts the novel by Gabriele D'Annunzio and sets the action in autumnal Tuscany. Tullio and Giuliana form a high-society marriage living in total freedom, but the relationship falters when she expects a child by another man. Visconti portrays the decadence of the aristocracy and the moral contradictions of characters torn between desire and convention.
