«La chaqueta metálica» is Stanley Kubrick's war movie starring Matthew Modine, Vincent D'Onofrio and Lee Ermey, on DVD.
The film follows a group of recruits during the Vietnam War: first showing their dehumanizing training under a brutal sergeant and then combat at the front, where violence leaves its mark on the soldiers' psyche. The image of the helmet with the legend 'Born to Kill' and the peace symbol condenses that contradiction.
DVD edition from the Stanley Kubrick Collection, digitally restored and remastered. Running time: 112 minutes. Region 2. With audio and subtitles in Spanish, English and German.
For fans of war movies and Stanley Kubrick's work seeking a raw portrait of the Vietnam War.
