«Los bastardos» is the movie by Amat Escalante (2008), on DVD.
The film follows Fausto and Jesús, two undocumented Mexican laborers in Los Angeles, over 24 hours of pressure to get money. While waiting for work at the entrance of a home goods store, they accept an unusually well-paid job; Jesús carries a shotgun in his backpack and the day ends up revealing the latent violence of their surroundings.
