«A Tribute to Simon & Garfunkel» is the tribute album by Die Singphoniker with Ulrich Herkenhoff, released in 2003 by Oehms Classics on CD.
The vocal group Die Singphoniker performs, with their voices and a small ensemble, featuring Ulrich Herkenhoff's panpipes as soloist, a collection of songs from the Simon & Garfunkel repertoire. The arrangements, by Matthias Keller, cover tracks such as «The Sound of Silence», «Bridge Over Troubled Water», «Mrs. Robinson» and «El Condor Pasa», bringing a choral sound between classical and vocal pop.
Recorded in Germany in 2003, the CD includes fourteen tracks with a total running time of 50:33. Released by Oehms Classics (catalogue number OC 321) in co-production with Bayerischer Rundfunk.
For those who want to rediscover the great hits of Simon & Garfunkel in a classical vocal version, with choral arrangements and panpipes, far from the original recordings.
