The album brings together five violin concertos by Tartini, with fast, virtuosic movements and slow passages of operatic air. It includes the Larghetto «Lascia ch'io dica addio» from the Concerto in B minor D.125 and the concertos in E major D.50 and D major D.28, two of them in world premiere recordings.
Recorded in Cologne in 2005, performed by Ariadne Daskalakis (violin), the Cologne Chamber Orchestra and conductor Helmut Müller-Brühl.
Aimed at fans of Baroque music and violin concertos, with an interest in world premiere recordings.
