«Leçons de Ténèbres» is the classical music album by François Couperin, released in 2001 by Harmonia-Musique D'abord on CD.
The three Leçons de Ténèbres for Wednesday are the only ones that survive from this series composed by François Couperin. They are recitations that accompanied the Tenebrae service of Holy Week, in which vocal virtuosity is combined with a profound religious feeling.
With a total duration of 46'09, it includes «Incipit Lamentatio Hieremiae prophetae», «Quomodo sedet sola» and «O vos omnes».
For lovers of Baroque sacred music and the chamber vocal repertoire.
