«Bags’ Groove» is the jazz album by Miles Davis, originally released in 1957 by Prestige and reissued on CD.
The album brings together two 1954 recording sessions, in each of which Miles Davis leads a quintet. One features Milt Jackson and Thelonious Monk; the other, Sonny Rollins and Horace Silver; both include Percy Heath on double bass and Kenny Clarke on drums. The repertoire combines hard bop with passages of cool jazz, with Davis's trumpet as the axis.
French CD reissue in the Original Jazz Classics series.
Will appeal to jazz and bop fans who want a CD reissue of a Miles Davis title.
