«L'Arlésienne • Carmen Suites» is the album by Georges Bizet performed by the Philharmonia Cassovia under the direction of Alfred Walter, released by Donau (Gramola) on CD in 1990.
This CD brings together the orchestral suites from two works by Georges Bizet: the opera Carmen, with the famous Habanera and the Marche du toréador, and the music of L'Arlésienne, from which the Prélude and the Farandole stand out. The four suites, performed by the Philharmonia Cassovia, show the color and energy of nineteenth-century French stage music.
1990 DDD recording, with a total duration of 69'22". Donau (Gramola) label, reference DCD-8073. Single CD. Produced by Rudolf Hentšel and Gejza Toperczer.
