«Charango» is the album by Yannick Noah, released in 2006 on St George, on CD.
Charango takes its name from the small Andean string instrument and incorporates that sound into a base of reggae, pop and French chanson, with songs performed in French. The album was composed after a trip to the Altiplano and reflects that inspiration in its arrangements. It includes tracks such as «Donne-moi une vie», «Aux arbres citoyens» and «Danser».
The album contains fourteen songs and was released under the labels Saint George and Sony BMG Music Entertainment.
Recommended for listeners of pop and French chanson with an interest in fusions with Latin American rhythms.
