«Cinderella / 'Classical' Symphony» is the double album of Prokofiev with André Previn and the London Symphony Orchestra, released in 1995 by EMI Classics on CD.
The album brings together two Prokofiev scores: the complete ballet Cinderella and the Symphony No. 1 in D major 'Classical'. The ballet features notable waltzes and the clock scene; the symphony, brief and playful, evokes Haydn's classicism with nods. André Previn conducts the London Symphony Orchestra in a lively, richly colored performance.
Double CD edition released in EMI Classics' Double forte series, with two Prokofiev works in a single recording.
For classical music fans, especially ballet and symphony, and for followers of André Previn and the London Symphony Orchestra.
