«Compact Snap!» is the compilation by The Jam released by Polydor on CD.
This compilation condenses the essentials of The Jam's career onto a single CD, from «In the City» to «Beat Surrender». It includes classics such as «Going Underground», «Town Called Malice» and «That's Entertainment», and comes from the double album «Snap», from which eight tracks are omitted to fit on one CD.
The CD carries catalogue number 821 712-2. All songs are written by Paul Weller, except two: one by Bruce Foxton and one by Ray Davies.
For those seeking a condensed introduction to The Jam, a key band of the mod movement and British punk rock.
