«Complete Recordings with Philly Joe Jones» is the jazz compilation by Sonny Rollins and Philly Joe Jones, released in 2016 by Essential Jazz Classics on CD.
It compiles the recordings of Sonny Rollins' quartet with Philly Joe Jones: the LPs Tenor Madness (Prestige) and Newk's Time (Blue Note), with John Coltrane on the title track of the former. As a bonus, «Compulsion» is added, from a 1953 session with Miles Davis and Charlie Parker.
The disc reproduces two original LPs (Prestige 7047 and Blue Note BST-84001) with one additional track.
For jazz and bebop fans interested in the complete recordings of Sonny Rollins' quartet with Philly Joe Jones.
