«Crest of a Knave» is the progressive rock album by British band Jethro Tull, released by Chrysalis/EMI on CD.
The album marked a turn towards a more direct sound, with a hard rock and blues rock base, keeping Ian Anderson's flute and ironic lyrics. The cover, a heraldic shield with a crowned eagle, anticipates songs like «Steel Monkey» and «Farm on the Freeway», which portray life under industry and the modern city.
Studio album originally released in 1987 and reissued on CD. Won the 1989 Grammy for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance, Vocal or Instrumental.
For fans of progressive rock and classic eighties bands looking for a CD reissue.
