«Dancing Drums» is the debut album by British duo Badmarsh & Shri, released in 1999 on Outcaste Records, on CD.
The duo combines drum and bass and breakbeat foundations with Asian-rooted textures and instrumentation, in an atmospheric electronic sound typical of the late nineties. Highlights include «The Asian Detective», «Gharana» and «130 Steps».
The album contains twelve tracks and the cover reproduces a warning poster with a skull and barbed wire, with texts in Hindi.
For fans of nineties electronic music and fusions with Asian music.
