«De Prado a Manrique» is the Latin jazz album by Habana Express, released in 2004 by RYQZ on CD.
The album moves between Latin jazz and Cuban tradition: over son structures, the tracks integrate the language of Afro-Cuban jazz and shape a repertoire of the contemporary scene. Habana Express updates the Cuban sound by combining jazz rhythms and melodies.
Spanish edition on a single CD, with catalogue number A70 7096; the cover includes the mention «The New Sound of Cuban Jazz».
For Latin jazz and Cuban son fans interested in the contemporary Cuban scene.
