«Desafíos» is the Cuban jazz album by Omara Portuondo and Chucho Valdés, released in 1997, on CD.
A duo album in which Omara Portuondo's voice and Chucho Valdés's piano combine over songs from the Cuban songbook. «Si te contara», «Cenizas» and «Lo que me queda por vivir» show the blend of jazz and traditional Cuban music that runs through the entire record.
Recorded at Ojalá studios in Havana, mixed at Axis studios in Madrid and produced by Demetrio Muñiz, with analog recording and a Steinway piano.
For those who appreciate Latin jazz and the great voices of Cuban music.
