«Descarga Total» is the Latin jazz album by Maraca, released in 2000 on CD.
The record fuses Latin jazz and traditional Cuban rhythms: son guajiro, pilón, danzón, mambo, cha cha cha and rumba. With Maraca's flute as guide, highlights include «Oye Guajira Mi Son», «Havana's Danzon» and «Mambo Con Cha Cha Cha», a showcase of its danceable, Caribbean-rooted character.
Maraca, a Cuban flautist linked to Irakere, composed and arranged the eleven tracks on the CD.
For those who enjoy Latin jazz and Cuban rhythms with a danceable feel.
