«From the Cliffs» is the EP by Guillemots, released in 2006 by Naive on CD.
The EP alternates piano ballads with more rhythmic tracks and arrangements of strings, winds and rock guitar. «Sake» and «Trains to Brazil» are a good example of that mix of melodic pop and experimentation; the closing track, «My Chosen One», returns to the bareness of the piano.
The eight songs are in English and the disc includes the music video for «Trains to Brazil» as a bonus track.
For listeners who want an album that works in any mood, with intimate cuts and others more expansive.
