«Gregorian Chant» is the Gregorian chant album by the Choralschola der Wiener Hofburgkapelle, released in 1984 by Philips on CD.
The Choralschola der Wiener Hofburgkapelle, conducted by P. Hubert Dopf S.J., performs here a selection of Gregorian chants of medieval origin. The pieces, monodic in texture and liturgical in character, combine solemnity and recollection, and constitute a representative sample of the European religious choral tradition.
The single-disc CD belongs to Philips' Digital Classics series and bears catalogue number 411 140-2.
For listeners interested in liturgical chant and medieval music.
