«Jammin' With Lester» is the compilation album by Lester Young, released by Sound Desi (Sound Design) on CD.
The double album «Jammin' With Lester» brings together a selection of jazz tracks by Lester Young, tenor saxophonist, and traces the evolution from swing to bebop. The subtitle 'From Swing To Bebop' on the cover condenses a repertoire that combines the swing foundation with the drive of bop, with Young's saxophone as the common thread.
The CD edition consists of 2 audio discs. The cover reproduces a black-and-white photograph of Lester Young playing the saxophone.
For fans of classic jazz and listeners interested in the transition from swing to bebop.
