«Joe Satriani» is the self-titled album by Joe Satriani, released in 1995 by Sony Music, on CD.
A mostly instrumental record where Joe Satriani moves between hard rock and blues rock, with forays into progressive rock and ample room for the electric guitar: virtuoso solos, shifts in texture and highly recognizable melodies. «Cool #9» and «If» are two representative tracks of that blend of energy and lyricism.
The European CD edition carries catalog number 481102 2 and consists of a single disc, with recordings at The Site, Coast Recorders and Fantasy Studios and mastering at Gateway Mastering.
For fans of instrumental rock and the electric guitar, as well as those following Joe Satriani's discography.
