«John Berkhout» is the self-titled debut album by the band John Berkhout, released in 2013 by Insamuel Records on CD.
The album «John Berkhout» combines rock, folk and indie rock with an intimate approach and evocative atmospheres. Its ten tracks, including «Cinematic», «Lost in the Wild» and «The Path», move between classic folk and ambient textures, with influences from Beach House, Fleet Foxes, Crosby, Stills & Nash and Simon & Garfunkel.
The group is a Basque quintet and released these ten tracks after a teaser EP; the Spanish edition was distributed by Warner Music Spain.
Recommended to folk rock and indie listeners who appreciate the classic sound of the seventies and the more atmospheric proposals of the genre.
