«La Bohème» is the recording of Giacomo Puccini's opera conducted by Sir Colin Davis, released in 1994 by Philips Classics on double CD.
Set in the bohemian Paris of the 19th century, the opera tells a love story among poor young artists, marked by passion and tragedy. The score, within the Romantic style, combines lyrical and choral passages and includes well-known arias from the operatic repertoire.
Featuring Katia Ricciarelli and José Carreras, together with the Orchestra and Chorus of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, under the direction of Sir Colin Davis. It is a remastered edition.
