«Mudejar» is the medieval music album by C. Paniagua Group with Begoña Olavide, released in 1999 by M.A. Recordings on CD.
The disc reconstructs the music of the Muslims who remained on the Iberian peninsula after the Christian Reconquista of the 15th century, using replicas of period instruments. Begoña Olavide's voice anchors a repertoire drawing on Andalusian and Middle Eastern tradition, close to medieval music and world music.
The original release dates from October 19, 1999 and the CD contains a single disc. The album appears in the classical music and Arabic music categories.
It is especially interesting for fans of medieval music, folk or world music who prefer attentive listening.
