«Music for Cello» is the classical music album by Zoltán Kodály, released in 1996 by Naxos, on CD.
The CD brings together three choral preludes based on Lutheran melodies and two sonatas for cello: the Sonata for Solo Cello Op. 8 and the Sonata for Cello and Piano Op. 4. Maria Kliegel plays the cello and Jenő Jandó the piano. Among the preludes, «Ach was ist doch unser Leben», «Vater unser im Himmelreich» and «Christus der uns selig macht» stand out.
