«OK Computer» is Radiohead's third studio album, released in 1997 by EMI, on CD.
The album's evocative lyrics and dense sonic textures portray unease about contemporary life, with echoes of social isolation, consumerism, technological dehumanization and mortality. Songs like «Paranoid Android», «Karma Police» and «No Surprises» capture that blend of tension, melancholy and unsettling beauty.
«OK Computer» was Radiohead's first self-produced album, with assistance from Nigel Godrich, and was recorded in Oxfordshire and Bath between 1996 and 1997.
Aimed at listeners of alternative rock and Britpop, with a sound that influenced the pop-rock of the 1990s.
