«Orphic Machine» is the album by Ben Goldberg, released in 2015 by Royal Potato, on CD.
Contemporary jazz that continues Ben Goldberg's experimental drift, with references to music of Ashkenazi roots. The compositions alternate highly singable melodies, an insistent rhythmic pulse and a full, colorful sonority, at a meeting point between pop song and avant-garde music.
Released on March 23, 2015 with catalog number BAG007; this edition consists of a single CD.
May appeal to those seeking accessible pop melodies and to followers of experimental music and avant-garde jazz.
