«Santa Milonga» is the album by Daniel Melingo, released in 2006 on Naïve, on CD.
The album revolves around tango and milonga with a contemporary, personal outlook: Melingo's voice is supported by arrangements that combine the River Plate tradition with modern airs, and the compositions evoke the cafés and billiard halls of Buenos Aires nightlife. The cover, showing a bar with a man beside a billiard cue, captures that same atmosphere.
Released on March 20, 2006 by Naïve, within its Latin music catalog, on CD. Recorded in Spanish (es-AR).
Aimed at fans of Argentine music and contemporary tango, and at those seeking a renewal of River Plate sounds.
