«Smetana: Má Vlast» is the classical music album by Bedřich Smetana, released in 2002 by Deutsche Grammophon, on CD.
The recording includes «La Moldau» (Vltava), a symphonic poem evoking the course of the Vltava river through the landscapes of Bohemia. «Má vlast» is a central work of Czech Romantic nationalism, with an orchestral language that alternates lyricism and dramatic tension.
Released by Deutsche Grammophon as part of the «Les 100 Classiques» collection, it is a single-disc CD with the Boston Symphony Orchestra conducted by Rafael Kubelik.
For fans of Romantic orchestral music and the great symphonic poems of the 19th century.
