«Songs Guaranteed To Depress» is the country album by Richmond County, released in 1997 on Newmarket Music, on CD.
The record offers melancholic country with folk touches, with songs that address deep feelings and create evocative soundscapes. The cover, a black-and-white photograph of a desolate landscape with a fence and birds, reinforces the introspective tone of a work that, despite its title, proposes a reflective and honest listen.
It was released on November 1, 1997. The album is sung in English and its sound moves between country and folk.
Recommended for lovers of country and roots music looking for an introspective record for unhurried listening.
