«St. Anger» is the heavy metal album by Metallica, released in 2003 by Mercury on CD with extra DVD.
The album shows Metallica in a rough vein: eleven songs without guitar solos, with insistent riffs, dry percussion and lyrics charged with frustration and anger. It is a dense and cathartic work, far from the polished production of their previous records.
It is Metallica's eighth studio album, released on June 5, 2003.
For metal listeners seeking an intense, angry and uncompromising record.
