«Steppe» is the album by French composer René Aubry, released in 1990 by As de Coeur on CD.
Steppe is an instrumental work composed for Carolyn Carlson's ballet. Guitars, accordion, harmonica and percussion draw broad, enveloping soundscapes, with a base of modern classical music enriched with downtempo and neofolk nuances. The result is evocative and cinematic atmospheres.
The edition is a CD of a record released in France, with catalogue number AS CD 3014. The cover shows a photograph of a white horse in motion against a warm background.
Suitable for listeners of instrumental music seeking deep and relaxing soundscapes.
