«Terpsichore Musarum» is the album by Michael Praetorius, released in 1994 by Ricercar on CD.
The album brings together a selection of dances from the Terpsichore compendium, published in 1612, with pieces such as Passameze, Gaillarde and Bransles. The performances are by Ricercar Consort and La Fenice, who use viols, cornets, flutes, harpsichord and percussion. The result evokes the festive repertoire of the late Renaissance and early Baroque.
The CD includes 36 tracks and is directed by François Fernandez, Philippe Pierlot and Jean Tubery.
