«Gates of Paradise» is the album by Robert Fripp, released in 1998 by Discipline Global Mobile on CD.
The album is an electronic work within ambient and experimental abstraction: treated guitar builds dense soundscapes, with dissonant passages alternating with moments of calm and beauty. The title track, «The Gates of Paradise», provides a luminous contrast to the whole.
The CD edition consists of one disc, carries catalogue number DGM9608, and was released in the United States and Canada.
It is suitable for listeners of ambient and abstract electronic music and for followers of Robert Fripp's experimental side.
