«Vaiven» is the album by Jorge Drexler, released in 1996 by Virgin Records España, on CD.
The album combines Latin pop with folk and popular roots rhythms, including candombe, milonga, zamba and samba. The songs reflect the mix of influences from Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil, and show Jorge Drexler in his singer-songwriter facet that crosses melodic song with music of the Río de la Plata tradition.
The recording took place in several studios in Spain and Argentina, with production by Virgin Records España and EMI. The CD contains a single disc.
Recommended for those who enjoy Latin pop and singer-songwriter music with folk roots, as well as for listeners interested in Uruguayan music.
