«When I Dream» is the album by Scottish jazz singer Carol Kidd, released in 1992 by Linn on CD.
The album brings together sixteen tracks of vocal jazz and ballads with Carol Kidd's voice to the fore. The repertoire includes classics such as «Georgia on My Mind» and «Bad Bad Leroy Brown», as well as the title track in a version with Terry Waite. It alternates jazz standards with melodies close to pop and maintains an intimate tone.
All songs are sung in English. Carol Kidd donated her royalties from this recording to Y-Care Africa Appeal and Amnesty International, organizations designated by Terry Waite.
For listeners who enjoy vocal jazz and intimate versions of well-known songs.
